- Java is NOT a internet programming language. It is a complete OO language
- which is compiled into byte code for a virtual architecture, much like
- Smalltalk is run on a virtual machine. But Java is designed to be also
- compiled into machine specific code. Just because no compilers are
- available yet is because of the newness of the language.
